Matt's available to chat about whatever you'd like from 3 to 4 EST on weekdays (unless he's out of town).
Matt will be out of town from the 16th through the 17th of July. Feel free to email him at matt@trabian.com and he'll get back to you as soon as he can.
The Symposium is coming together nicely – Colin, Denise, Guy, Jason, Lisa, Lydia, Rob, Ron, and Shari have all confirmed their speaking times – with Denise and Ron taking the stage one after the other. If you’ve followed exchanges on their blogs, you know it’ll be two can’t-miss sessions.
Tim McAlpine has been awarded the at-large speaker slot thanks to an outpouring of support from his fans. He sends the following message to Timvotees:
By the way, I’m geared up for BarCampBankSeattle and collaborating there with some of my favorite FI bloggers. If you can make it, it promises to be, as Gene calls it, “intense, sort of like the Olympics of Seminars.”
We are very jazzed to report that the redesigned Verity CU blog went live yesterday at http://blog.veritycu.com. Thank you to the whole Verity crew for being such a real, intelligent, and hilarious group of people. This was the best kind of project.
On October 3-4, we’ll be co-hosting a conference with FORUM Solutions here in Indy. At the Partnership Symposium, we’ll connect and collaborate about credit unions.
Interactive Content. We‚Äôll be podcasting all sessions and vodcasting some, and all conversations will be shaped by the community. We’ll also set up live Twitter big screens in some sessions (for example Ron‚Äôs ‚Äì since he loves the service so much).
You can be a speaker, too. We’re holding open auditions here on OSCU for a speaker slot. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never addressed an audience before or if you’re as seasoned as Chris Farley in a van down by the river. Submit your auditions in any format you’d like – text, audio, video – but were it me, I’d record a video about what I’d like to present, upload it to YouTube, and post the HTML for the video as a comment to this post. Update 6/4:Tim McAlpine is the winner of the at-large slot. Congrats!
It won‚Äôt cost an arm and a leg to attend. What else would you expect!? We‚Äôre going to keep the registration cost at $125 (nope, that’s not a typo), and the schwag will be top-notch: Moleskines, baby!
Talent Contest. Yes, the Trabian/FS band will be performing. Doug W. on drums, Brandon (our new developer) on percussion, Charlie on lead, Brent on rhythm, and Cameron P helping out on bass. Anyone can enter. I’m sure the prizes will make it worth embarrassing yourself on stage.
We’ll link to the online registration form when it’s available – it’ll be on the new FORUM Solutions website, launching very soon. In the meantime, shoot me an email if you have any questions.
This week Trey and I are heading to Ol’ Milwaukee, Wisconsin to present at the Wisconsin Credit Union League’s Annual Convention. Here’s a little doodle on the life and times of connectivity from our presentation:
We've met some passionate innovators during our years working with credit unions, and at Open Source CU they share their ideas and experiences. We're always looking for more people to join the conversation!
