Five reasons to save October 3-4
By Trey Reeme on May 15, 2007
On October 3-4, we’ll be co-hosting a conference with FORUM Solutions here in Indy. At the Partnership Symposium, we’ll connect and collaborate about credit unions.
Why should you save the date?
- Kickin Speakers. Right now they include: Jason Knight of Wesabe, Ron Shevlin of Epsilon, Guy Messick and Rob Rutkowski of CIiCU fame (and they’re darn good attorneys, too), Shari Storm of Verity CU, branding guru Denise Wymore, Lydia Johnson of Vancity, Doug True and Cam Minges of FORUM Solutions, and Trey Reeme (that’s me).
- Interactive Content. We‚Äôll be podcasting all sessions and vodcasting some, and all conversations will be shaped by the community. We’ll also set up live Twitter big screens in some sessions (for example Ron‚Äôs ‚Äì since he loves the service so much).
- You can be a speaker, too. We’re holding open auditions here on OSCU for a speaker slot. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never addressed an audience before or if you’re as seasoned as Chris Farley in a van down by the river. Submit your auditions in any format you’d like – text, audio, video – but were it me, I’d record a video about what I’d like to present, upload it to YouTube, and post the HTML for the video as a comment to this post. Update 6/4: Tim McAlpine is the winner of the at-large slot. Congrats!
- It won‚Äôt cost an arm and a leg to attend. What else would you expect!? We‚Äôre going to keep the registration cost at $125 (nope, that’s not a typo), and the schwag will be top-notch: Moleskines, baby!
- Talent Contest. Yes, the Trabian/FS band will be performing. Doug W. on drums, Brandon (our new developer) on percussion, Charlie on lead, Brent on rhythm, and Cameron P helping out on bass. Anyone can enter. I’m sure the prizes will make it worth embarrassing yourself on stage.
We’ll link to the online registration form when it’s available – it’ll be on the new FORUM Solutions website, launching very soon. In the meantime, shoot me an email if you have any questions.

Great idea…we’ll be hosting our research council meeting so we can’t make it. let me know how it goes.

Great George. The one time I’m heading east for something as neat as this you won’t be available. But there will hopefully always be a next time.

Definitely Gene…we host our Fall 08 research council meeting in Portland, Oregon. Consider this an official invite…just remind me I invited you!

I like the challenge of showing you what I have to entice you to see if I have what it takes to be a speaker at your October 3-4 event.
Looking forward to your comments and reply.

Ricki, Tim McAlpine has been awarded the slot – sorry for not posting that update here on the Trabian site, as it totally slipped my mind. :(
Hope you’ll still make it out, of course.
