A Trabian design has earned a CUNA (Credit Union National Association) Award of Merit for Houston FCU’s marketing department. The project was entered at the 2005 CUNA Marketing & Business Development Conference.
Trabian designed the print statement insert “What We’ve Built is Monumental” for Houston FCU. The project received a Merit Award in the Statement Insert category for CUs with assets between $101M and $499M.
The insert focused on the August launch of the new www.houstonfcu.org and was distributed in nearly 20,000 monthly account statements mailed to Houston FCU members during September 2004.

Before Trabian, HFCU’s record for one month was 46,576 homepage visits in April 2004. Since the new site launch, the homepage has averaged 63,440 views per month.
Before the August 2004 launch of the new www.houstonfcu.org, the 12-month average for visits to the credit union’s homepage was 43,013 per month. In the seven months since the launch, homepage visits have skyrocketed by 47%.
January 2005 had been the Houston FCU site’s busiest month on record, registering 66,231 hits to the homepage, and 206,915 total page views.
In fact, total views of all pages have more than doubled (up a remarkable 165%) when comparing the 12-month average prior to the new site launch to the monthly average since. Not only are HFCU members visiting more often, they are visiting more pages.
